The Story of the Hotel Blattnerhof
|
The hotel was built in 1934/35 by Caesar Eggel (1886-1935).
In 1952, a dining hall was added.
Therese Jäger Eggel (1918-1992), daughter of Caesar Eggel, led the Blattnerhof from the start to the year 1971, when the hotel was sold to the consortium Walker and Fux.
1975 Josef Wyden bought the hotel.
Another modification and expansion occurred in the years 1975/76. After that, the hotel became the property of Roten Sonja-Wyden .
In 1987 the Belalp Bahnen bought the hotel. In 1993/94 the hotel was completely renovated.
In autumn 2005, the Belalp Bahnen sold the Blattnerhof to Walter Berchtold.
In the summer of 2006, a was created. In addition, 17 guest rooms and a large breakfast/dining hall were put up (expansion on the west side.
The external facade of the ancient building still shines in the timeless beauty of an time-honored hotel, the new building from 2006 fits in seamlessly, without attempting to dominate.
Today, the hotel is run by family Karin and Thomas Zimmermann-Berchtold (daugther and son-in-law of Walter Berchtold).
Total 38 rooms (21 in the ancient part on 3 floors, 17 in the new building on 2 floors)
2 dining rooms halls with a total of 140 seats.
Pizzeria with approx 60 seats
Spa with sauna/steam bath/whirlpools (extra charge)/infrared cabin/shower and relaxation area.
